Yep. 61st & Roosevelt. It used to be called Breslin and Sweeney's. Old school post prohibition gin mill where they had big mirrors behind the bar and the bartenders still wore aprons. Word had it that the Breslin in the Breslin & Sweeny was columnist Jimmy Breslin. Haven't been by there in awhile so I don't know what the new name is. |

My friends who went to Molloy, St. Francis Prep, Cathedral, and Christ The King are this way. One, who is a cop, told me he does not fear getting DUI'd. His view of the world as a cop is that 99% of people get away with DUI so it's nothing to worry about. He has the #copthink mentality that everyone gets away with it anyway. |

Tailgating is part of the experience.Especially football. It draws from a wide geographical area compared to baseball. Since cops have cameras nowadays, I suspect it would be very hard for another cop to beat a DUI. Back in the old days, if a driver was pulled over for weaving in and out of lane and he turned out to be a drunk cop (or fireman), he'd be given a "take it easy & have a nice day"However, if he was involved in an accident, all bets were off. |
