The other suggestion is that by the book, Trumps offense is a misdemeanor and Bragg is trying to turn it into a felony. And police departments have to err on the side of caution - it would have helped if the Capitol Police had heeded the scuttlebutt going around on January 5th, 2021.But to attribute the lack of an arrest to Bragg getting cold feet is really insulting to Bragg. He deserves plenty of criticism, but not for that. |
