Odd Mask Behavior

Here's what I think is an apolitical mask question/observation.

I get that many people no longer feel the need to wear a mask. And I get that others still feel a need to wear a mask. Different strokes for different folks...

But in 2022, what's up with people who are wearing a mask, but have it only covering their mouth and not their nose?

I see this on nearly a daily basis...

Pure ignorance. I've been seeing that regularly since March 2020. I've even seen pharmacists do it.

It does let you quickly pull it up if someone who has the authority to tell you to put on a mask suddenly comes by.

I understood it in 2020. Some people didn't know better, some were doing it because someone was requiring them to wear a mask and they didn't want to wear it or were uncomfortable.

In November 2022, in most public settings nobody is being required to wear a mask -- if you're wearing a mask it is because you choose to wear a mask. So why wear it wrong if it is your choice to wear it in the first place?

There are employers who tell employees to wear a mask. I'm sure the rule in pharmacies is that employees have to wear a mask. It's probably a Dunkin Donuts corporate rule, because I always see their employees with a mask that's hanging down.

It shows how stupid they really are. UNLESS they are employed by an agency that requires them to still play the control tactic, so they wear it like that as a "fuck you"

Nope. In the Walmarts in my area, nobody behind the pharmacy counter wears a mask. They even took down that hanging plexiglass that separates customer from pharmacist. You would think that they should know better, correct?

I believe I've noticed some of those ineffective Plexiglas shields at supermarket checkouts disappear, I'll check today while doing last minute purchases.
