Did you read the site past the first paragraph? Thomas Jefferson was in Europe at the time. His ideas may have influenced the Constitution, but he did not participate in the day to day debates at the Constitutional Convention nor write the final wording that emerged. |

Laws.com agrees with Donald John Trump.It does not. The exact words they used are: "influential framers". I suggest you get a legal opinion, from a different source, as to their exact meaning. The Constitutional Convention lasted from May to September. A letter took about 2 months to cross the Atlantic and get delivered in those days. Whatever Jefferson's "influence" on the Convention might have been, it would have been very brief and he would not have been privy to the secret deliberations that took place. |
