"Testilying" is a term I myself have heard NYC cops use. I am not aware of any "groups" looking to abolish bodycams, and the footage captured by these devices has put paid to some cops' false accounts of incidents they're involved in, when said cops don't first disable these cameras before they do some foul shit.That said, the vast majority of cops out there are interested only in doing their jobs the way they were trained to, and aren't looking to kill people. But from time to time, we get a Derek Chauvin or Amber Guyger, and that is what we as a society must beware. |
