But she couldn't do that back after the election, she has to do it the day before.Just like when she held up the stimulus and PPP until she was sure how much she could get out of it. Tesla's stock price was slammed after they released earnings yesterday that were below estimates. Today it's down an additional 2.24% at the time of this post. |

The greater question is why are they allowed to invest when they can influence outcomes but the president must put his holdings in blind trusts? |

I don't think that a blind trust is necessarily required, but I can also see why having different levels for the President versus Congress makes sense. A President can unilaterally benefit or hurt a company with an Executive Order. A single Congresscritter would need to propose action that would have to be passed by both House and Senate and signed by the President. That doesn't happen instantaneously. |
