I don't think that a blind trust is necessarily required, but I can also see why having different levels for the President versus Congress makes sense. A President can unilaterally benefit or hurt a company with an Executive Order. A single Congresscritter would need to propose action that would have to be passed by both House and Senate and signed by the President. That doesn't happen instantaneously. |
