My entire lifetime I've known that Jews pride themselves on "voting their principles" over perceived ethnic loyalty.But Jews are a people under siege (3 of every 7 in the WORLD killed in WWII). And Jews are still under siege, and especially in the Europe that virtually expunged them and in the Middle East, which like them only as underlings. When people and nations hate Israel they don't do it because they hate that Israel did this or that or the other. They hate them because they are Jews, the world's universal pariahs. So voting against one of the only two Presidents that ever took Israel seriously as a sovereign nation, to pump their self-image as "A Light Unto the World," is disgusting. Put that phrase on our tombstones. |

This has nothing to do with our being "A Light Unto the World." This has to do with my country, i.e. the USA, and I will not sacrifice it in order to make a few even jellicles happy with their suspect motivations. The presence, or absence, of a peace treaty with countries that don't even border Israel will not prevent "Palestinian" terrorists from murdering Israeli civilians. Maybe if Trump were the only thing standing between Israel and its destruction, or hobbling, that would change my calculus, but it's hardly close to that. |

Most American Jews are certainly "white" (lower-case). But they generally are not considered "White" (capitalized). That is one reason that the trend to capitalize first "Black", and then, inevitably, "White", bothers me. |

To be "white" means that you're like everyone else and have white privledge.The majority of us who are discriminated against for being Jewish in any way (minus those of us who pretend we're "white" and get upset if we're found out which is our #jewishprivledge) yet we get no benefits of being a vilified minority at all because we're "white" disagree. Not to mention, I never see any jokes about the Scottish on colour television, modern television will only give us the most offensive Jewish jokes instead. While no one is upset nor does anyone envy you, it is just your overton window has allowed yourself to go full ostrich and block out the daily examples of #jewishprivledge that occur. There are two approaches a rational person can take. They can be like Barbara Streisand and tried to be as annoying Jewish as possible to stick it to the man. or they can do what you do. I am sorry, but from coast to coast, you are the minority. Most Jews are proud and don't cower to pretend we can get some of that white privledge ourselves. |
