We have every right to keep out whom we want to keep out.My objection to the wall is that 90% of it isn't worth the cost, and most of the remaining 10% was already built pre-Trump. In most of CA, AZ, NM, and western TX, the real wall is the 50-100 miles of desert north of the border. |

The pre-existing barrier was barely a fence that was effortless to hop over. The comparison is stark: The problem with using the desert as a "wall" is it creates lefty photo ops of dead migrants. Best to wall that off too to keep that from happening. |

Nice picture.The prior barrier was very effective. It kept vehicles from going through and that's all that was needed. The new barrier is easy to make a hole in with the right crowbar. There will still be pictures of migrants who died of dehydration, just as there were with the old barrier. I was down in southern Arizona last November, places like organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. I saw dozens of Border Patrol vehicles and got stopped at quite a few checkpoints. Those, plus the airplanes, are the actual barrier. |
