Just the ones that call police on black people for being black. Maybe the woman in the first viral incident was named Karen? I don't feel like googling. |

It is another attempt by minority people to objectify white people they dislike in a way that some minorities feel they were so objectified with insulting names. It is nasty. It is racist. And it is divisive. Back in the '60s some blacks tried to come up with a definitve insult for white people (though they already had several. So they came up with "Honkie." Noone explained what it was supposed to mean, and no one could figure it out. The New York Times opined that the closest they could come was that Honkie was an insulting name for Hungarians. |

I’ve seen this term before it was applied to the Cooper incident and it referred to the kind of woman who wants to “speak to the manager.” It’s not related to race, although I now realize that most, if not all, such examples were of white women. |

Actually, cracker has a long history, and several people from the south (the first time by an Army buddy from Georgia in 1968) assured me that he wasn't insulted by the term, that it came from animal-drivers who utilized whips to "urge" that animals on.Of course, if intended as an insult, it is an insult. |

We are all judged by others and race and skin color can be a large part of that judgment. Those small judgments all rolled together can impactful. Not all white people are judged equally or privileged the same, but they have an advantage that non-white people will never have. |
