Actually, cracker has a long history, and several people from the south (the first time by an Army buddy from Georgia in 1968) assured me that he wasn't insulted by the term, that it came from animal-drivers who utilized whips to "urge" that animals on.Of course, if intended as an insult, it is an insult. |
