Posted by Orange Blossom Special on Fri Feb 21 16:19:28 2020 MSNBC host Chuck Todd — who helped moderate Wednesday night’s Democratic debate — is likely more familiar with one candidate than any other. He was Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s landlord, sources exclusively told Page Six. Klobuchar and her husband, lawyer John Bessler, rented a 3-bedroom home owned by Todd in Arlington, Virginia, sources said. The Minnesota Democrat and Bessler apparently began renting the house in 2008. A source insisted to Page Six that Klobuchar and Bessler are not currently living at the home anymore — but it’s unclear when they moved out. A 2008 report by the Star Tribune on where Minnesota reps live said at the time that Klobuchar and Bessler moved into a 3-bedroom Arlington rental home from a smaller apartment to accommodate family visitors. They were renting the house for “$3,200/month, plus utilities.” The house — according to online listings of the address — has 3.5 bathrooms and is approximately 3,000 square feet. A source said it’s not a secret among Beltway insiders that Todd rented the home to Klobuchar — though it doesn’t seem to have been disclosed publicly. NBC did not comment, and a Klobuchar press rep did not immediately comment when we reached out. Luckily none of the questions at the Democratic debate were over damage deposits or leaky sinks. Klobuchar instead most notably sparred with rival Mayor Pete Buttigieg, even asking him: “Are you trying to say that I’m dumb? Are you mocking me here, Pete?” /****** A) That sounds extremely presidential in behaviour. B) That's a big place. Will she downsize to save the planet? C) $3,200/month @ 3x income = $115,200. I wonder if she's going to pull a Hillary and call that blue-collar lower class for middle America.

I left for LA at the end of August 1976, so I didn't have to see them that much. I didn't ride the Franklin at that time, so I would only see them while waiting to board a northbound D at Prospect Park.

It seems like they shortened the length of a lot of trains probably due to a car shortage. B line ran a lot of 6 car 27/30's.

I thought the was the strangest car ever. Subsequently, I would see a single R-11 coupled to a pair of R-32s. By the 70s, it was rare to see an R-11, mostly 4-car R-32s until 1976. There were "guest appearances" of other equipment, but for the most part 32s. I guess they went from the R-27/30s to the Hippos in the 80s.
