WABB. Just like a national popular vote doesn’t determine who the winner of the Presidential election is, it is just as meaningless in determining support for impeachment. If the Democrats want to win in 2020 they need to take back Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania. Polls are showing that in those individual states impeachment is not popular and Trump isn’t seeing any loss in the polls. If anything, his disapproval numbers are going down from around -15 to -10.

Having seen the process twice in my lifetime, I strongly disagree. I do know why Sec Clinton isn't president, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. The elected president is a crook, and has been acting contrary to the national inter3st, and for personal gain no less. He needs to be removed bed from office.

Wisconsin is irrelevant if they take back Florida. The margin was closer in Florida in 2016 than it was in Wisconsin. The Democrat can win Florida, and only one of Pennsylvania or Michigan and all the other Clinton states and win the election.

Florida may be closer in terms of percentage, but as the 2018 races showed, I think there are more voters percentage wise for the taking in Wisconsin than Florida by running the right candidate

I think the outcome in Florida in 2018 had two factors going against the Democrats, neither of which should be there in 2020 (but Democrats love to lose, so maybe not):

1. The gubernatorial candidate was a Sanderista. A more moderate could have won.
2. The Senate race was a close one that Democrats basically ignored in favor of other states. I don’t think Florida will be ignored by Democrats in the presidential.

I disagree, as the result of the trial can and likely will affect turnout. That could easily swing things. Very easily. Remember trump won by the slimmest of margins in only a few states.

Not sure if that was meant for me. I was saying to bingbong that someone saying to a pollster that they support impeachment doesn’t mean that that person will necessarily vote for the Democratic nominee in 2020.
