My mother is in her mid-70s and has had an iPhone for close to eight years.They make smartphones for people who aren't smart; the phone is what's smart. (That doesn't mean my mom is not smart; she uses that phone for far more than the average dumbed-down teenager does.) |

Real sheet metal and bumpers that were real bumpers. Modern cars are mostly plastic on the outside, the bumpers are worthless fascias.For me the race to the bottom began with the introduction of the Ford Taurus in the mid 1980s. Everything after 2010 regardless makers badge is engineered and built to be thrown away even after receiving minor damage or from "normal" wear after following manufacture recommended service intervals. Surprising Amish cannot use landline phones but are allowed to use SmartPhones because tit is not directly connected to the outside world with wires. |
