Never said it was. However, Pantaleo killed the guy. He was unarmed.

No, Garner killed himself while resisting arrest.

Passive resistance as in going limp? I thought that you saw the video. The behavior that Garner engaged in could not be described as passive resistance. Perhaps you've forgotten your police training.

There are many degrees of passive resistance. He did not strike (as to assault) anyone, just flailed about. Pantaleo over reacted, and that's when it got dangerous. Then he didn't stop the chokehold when Mr Garner fell to the ground. For that, the Commissioner took iissue and fired him.

Another fact...this happened five years ago. Mr Garner would have been long out of jail for a small-time offense by now. Do you think it was right he was killed for what may have been something like 30 days?

That's a moronic response. I said that Garner was not engaged in "passive resistance" based on the video. You do not need to be a medical examiner to understand the difference between passive resistance and fighting. You obviously have not seen the video or you would never make such a ridiculous comment.

You are correct. Had Garner submitted to a legal arrest he'd have long ago been released from jail (presuming that he wasn't killed by other inmates). He'd be back on the streets, strong arming local merchants and selling off the spoils of his crimes. He'd be back on the streets, sponging off the welfare system and being a public nuisance. But he didn't submit to a lawful arrest. He chose, knowing his poor health condition, to violently resist the arrest, and brought about his own untimely death.

I doubt anyone hasn't. I watched the ApC where the firing was announced, and it ran during that, with moment by moment explaining what was happening. Had Pantaleo let up once Mr Garner was on the ground instead of proceeding to choke him to death at that point, he’d still have his job. Obviously you didn’t see that, either you missed the video and/or the PC.

What the hell does being unarmed have to do with anything at all? Garner killed himself with his poor health.

Who are YOU to say he overreacted? You are NOT qualified to opine on the subject at hand.
