Had Garner submitted to a legal arrest he'd have long ago been released from jail (presuming that he wasn't killed by other inmates). He'd be back on the streets, strong arming local merchants and selling off the spoils of his crimes. He'd be back on the streets, sponging off the welfare system and being a public nuisance. But he didn't submit to a lawful arrest. He chose, knowing his poor health condition, to violently resist the arrest, and brought about his own untimely death. |
