I have grave doubts that the 2016 election wasn't severely compromised by the Trump campaign, Trump's lieutenants, and the Russians. Cohen just said on live TV, that Trump knew full well what he was doing, and that nothing was done without Trump's foreknowledge and approval. If the SDNY and Mueller investigations are "witch hunts", then the brooms are piling up rapidly and furiously. The asterisk is justified.

Trump's own appointees to the CIA and State Department have said that the Russians meddled in the election. The meddling would not have needed to be particularly successful to erase his margins in the three key states. I'd stick with "he is our legally elected president" and not add any subjective conclusions.

There is more and more evidence that Trump associates, the Trump campaign, the Trump organization, and even Trump himself engaged in criminal activity. There is no proof (or disproof) at the moment that the criminal activity resulted in Trump's election. The now strongly-supported fact that the Russians tried to influence the election results neither proves nor disproves whether they actually succeeded.

Because the hush money payments were made specifically to alter the outcome of the election, and because these remittances are now known to be crimes, I think my statement is accurate.

The fact that Trump is a sleaze of a person was well known long before he ever ran for President. There was plenty brought up during the campagin, such as "grab 'em by the pussy." There is no reason to believe that if all of that didn't sway the voters that Stormy Daniels was going to change things either. If anything it may have backfired more on the Democrats because it would have devolved into a character debate which was the one area where Trump and Hillary Clinton were on a level playing field. What little time Hillary Clinton spent trying to convince blue collar workers to vote for her would have been taken up talking about Bill Clinton's affairs and Hillary Clinton's behavior after she found out. I think your statement is horribly inaccurate.
