They are a myth, propagated by the Christian right to bring on the Rapture or in place of language that would otherwise be blatantly Islamophobic or offensive to anyone who isn't "white." "Many, many people use the word “Judeo-Christian.” Most of these people are very nice! I’ve probably used it, too! English is a rich tapestry, full of terms we use unthinkingly, like “rule of thumb.” Most people who aren’t Jews probably think it’s fine, even benevolent. But that’s exactly what makes “Judeo-Christian” so insidious—it sounds benign because it purports to involve Jews in the conversation. As if they’re doing us a favor by remembering we exist. But the people who do it the most, like Mike Pence, view that existence as a necessary evil: 77% of US evangelicals like him believe that the Rapture will come in their lifetimes, and their explicit goal is to route all the Jews back to Israel so it can happen. This is well-documented. And even when they aren’t zealots like Pence, there are only two reasons why people like Rubio and Shapiro insist on saying “America is a Judeo-Christian nation.” One, because they want to say “Christian” country, but they don’t want to piss off AIPAC donors, or two, because they really want to say “white,” or “not Muslim.” I guarantee you that they also do not mean to include Sephardic Jews, and they definitely don’t mean to include Black Jews. They are just pandering to the people who don't want Muslims and other funny looking people included.

Thanks for admitting you have officially rejected the Ten Commandments given to Moses, which are the core of Judeo-Christian values.

He was walking to the top of the mountain and dropped one. It smashed to smithereens, so now there are only 10 Commandments instead of 15.

We will always taught from day one that Christianity comes from the Jewish faith and not we are always interconnected besides what we will call the Old Testament. We learned everything about ancient Israel and the ancient Jewish people and the trials and tribulations and not once what we told not to like them or to feel we are better than they are but we are just two fractions of the same God, Yahweh

I'm also not Anti-Semectic.(although I don't spell very well, but the sentiment is there). Any issues I may have with some screwed up individual has nothing to do with ethnicity. I grew up on lawnguyland, I'm the least ethnic person I've ever known.i really don't care, it seems artificial and a means to divide more than unite people.

"Judeo-Christian" is offensive to Jews. It implies that Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism, that Jesus of Nazareth was the prophecised Messiah. There already is a word for that: "Christian."

We even had books on it. My family has Catholic Lutheran and Jewish in it and lots of Catholics who really practice the faith also do Jewish Traditions like a Seder dinner as well. My Catholic Grandmother Had a mezuzah on her front door so all of her Jewish friends would feel welcome growing up

And there was no racial or ethnic discourse at all. Of course everyone broke each other's balls but that was to be expected growing up in my Brooklyn neighborhood and it was all in good fun. We even had our neighborhood gays which no one bothered and if they were bothered, they would catch a beating. It's just the way it was growing up.
