True. But it is angry and reactionary nevertheless. However, it is a form of opinion espoused by a much smaller portion of the left than the portion of the right that espouses angry and reactionary views.

Wish I knew but anyway the solution to the problem is obvious. People are able to get state ID whether you drive or not. The simple solution is you show your state ID problem solved no need for a special voter's ID IF that is truly the problem they want to solve (Imo there's another motive involved).

Of course you see another motive involved. Why else would a white man like me not have to show ID in order to vote while you, a person of color, has to show ID in order to vote. If roles were reversed, I'd be at the Bd. Of Elections, demanding answers instead of relating anecdotal stories on a Subway Chat board.

I understand alright. I watched FIRSTHAND during Rudy's 1993 run. People living in Monsey, Kiryas Joel, and other upstate towns coming down to Williamsburg, Brooklyn en masse to vote for him. How do I know this? Because Grand Rebbe Tietelbaum's sons were fighting over who was going to take over once the Grand Rebbe died. So the camp of the one son who was in Williamsburg would point out to the poll watchers and others every time an upstate carload of former Brooklynites now living upstate came in to vote. I was directly told not to get involved in the Satmar family fued, so I didn't. True story.

. I meant that if I was dead or moved away, and I was still on file, someone else can just sign for me and vote.

Did you die to test out your dead hypothesis?

If you die in NYC, a notice of your death certificate is forwarded to the Board of Elections and your name will be removed from the voter roll. I did not test this out on myself but somebody in my household did die.

An election notice is sent out by the Board of Elections with do not forward/return to sender instructions. If the USPS follows these instructions, the Board of Elections will know you have moved and can take further action.

Exactly. They would still have ID with their former address. And in any event it doesn't require voter ID to cure. The whole point of voter registration is to weed out people who are ineligible. If an ineligible person makes it through, the valid ID solves nothing.

I think you fell for an urban legend. Too many agencies would have had to been on this for it to work.

As I noted in an earlier post, the election notice is sent USPS first class with do not forward/return to sender instructions. If the people had moved and the USPS isn't in on this voter fraud, then the Board of Elections would be aware that the person was no longer a resident.

The Board of Elections is staffed by equal numbers of Republican and Democratic party regulars. This is supposed to insure that no liberties are taken with the voting roll. The Satmar vote is known to be available to the highest bidder. It's not likely the party regulars would bend the election laws for a group whose allegiance were negotiable.

Some (maybe even many) people may not have told USPS that they moved, because they still had a way to get mail arriving at their old address.

But then they wouldn't have told DMV either, so their driver's license would still have the old address and Voter ID would have done nothing.

Even if you do tell DMV your old address still shows on your license. They charge you to send a new one, you're supposed to put a sticker on the back with your real address on it (even though no one ever looks back there).
