A big issue about that case was the notion the plain clothes officers didn't ID themselves to Sean Bell and his friends. Its not like Sean Bell tried to run over uniformed cops. If Bell is in his car and ppl in plain clothes pull guns on him not knowing they are cops i can understand him pressing on the gas in the interest of self preservation. |

Funny how some cops can show incredible restraint in interest of preserving human life while others kill for 'passive aggression' Am i saying all cops are racist no, not even saying the majority are racist but imo there's enough officer's out here with racial bias that reflects how they deal with different ppl in similar situations. And let's keep it real there's other cops out here that have no business having a gun and badge. And the lack of accountability and excuses made for those officer's are astounding and give all cops a bad name. |

Unarmed ppl who are combative, ppl who run, hell ppl who are armed (although i completely understand if an officer shoot a sudpect who points a gun at them) are apprehemdef ALIVE everyday. So when a cop says they have no choice but to kill an unarmed man i call bullshit bc it happens everyday!I'm sorry but the example's of officer's showing restraint in dealing with suspects tells me yes it is possible to not kill so easily. So yes i ecpect more and will always expect more when it comes to human lives. |

The problem is the term 'posing a threat' is relative. Actions of an individual may be enough to pose a threat while that same action might not constitute posing a threat to someone else. In this case one officer felt the situation with the man from tulsa was enough to be dealt with using his taser while his partner felt using her gun was appropriate.Another case in point Officer frlt he could have deesculated the situation with his words using his military training and his coworkers and superiors obviously felt otherwise since he lost his job. |

Because it would be interesting to hear what was going on. If the man was in panic mode and pleading for his life then you'd be on to something here. Maybe. But if you could hear the man saying something else or perhaps nothing at all and retreating to the vehicle we would understand what happened much better. |
