SCOTUS overturns Teass law
Posted by bingbong on Mon Jun 27 10:39:18 2016 fiogf49gjkf0d 5-3, the usual suspects comprising the latter. Both the unnecessary surgical center requirements and the admitting priviledges are overturned. Thankfully, this is national as we have an actual decision. So many states that tried this road to repression are now turned back.

Abbott essentially admitted, after the decision, that HB2 was an attempt to intentionally limit abortions in Texas,, not "protecting women's health" which was the state's oral argument before the Court.

The state doesn't care about physical health.
