I Am Elite!

Posted by cortelyounext on Thu Nov 5 18:29:15 2015

fiogf49gjkf0d
As a member of the Eastern elite who is gainfully employed as a male stewardess and happens to be a person of color who identifies as white, I am listening to Coltrane while enjoying a cup of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. However, unlike most Eastern elites, who are Progressive Democrats and dislike any athletic event in which score is kept and/or involves physical contact, either direct (football) or indirect (dodgeball), I'll be watching Baylor - Kansas State this evening.

I love Trader Joe’s. There’s one not far from my work. I go there from time to time.

There is no Whole Foods near my work, home or anywhere a reasonable distance from the route in between them. I don’t really care. I don’t like their philosophy either; I support artificial ingredients and GMOs.

I’m surprised that there isn’t a Whole Foods near here. Every other store is here. Seems like a huge oversight.

This will be the last trip whereby I, arguably the leading male stewardess on this site, serve the prima donnas pilots their meals on plastic trays with plastic utensils. After the 14th I have to serve them their meals on china with metal utensils. Service with a smile.

Many of the GMO's though do have specific poisons to insects and if you eat enough, I would imagine there would be a risk to humans as well. The other point in GMO's is to make them resistant to chemical poisons in the soil made by the same companies that sell those seeds.

I'll stick with the locals where we know what they seeded and feed their own families from the harvest.

Who needs GMOs? I ate fish that I caught out of the Passaic and lower Hackensack Rivers north of Newark because the water was barely flowing but flowing nonetheless. Full disclosure will inform you the water was brownish with zero visibility but the fish looked normal and appeared clean the operative word being appeared. The not well thought out decision to fish near oil refineries, the Hackensack River Port Authority Trans Hudson lift bridge, and the Harsimus Branch NS/CSX Shared Asset lift bridge in and of itself was not one of my better efforts. Have a good weekend.

Agreed ... for what it's worth though, the local farmers here sell for a LOT less than the supermarkets do, simply because there's no distribution chain to take their cut. I've seen some of the appalling methods of farming used elsewhere, a little education in how to modernize that would be a big help.
