windows 10 no EDGE ? |

Posted by B68 slow poke on Fri Oct 30 00:04:19 2015 In the admin account I have the EDGE ICON. And in a extra user account that I just created I have the EDGE ICON. But I can NOT get the EDGE ICON back into my main user account. Any ideas? I was in contact with Microsoft and ran every program they gave me...no result. I was thinking of last resort to go to safe mode and reinstall windows 10. |

Welcome to Winblows. :(Since it works in the new account, your original account is hosed. Only real solution (according to Microsuck) would be to copy your stuff over to that new user account and trash the old one. It's broken. Don't feel bad, happens rarely in OS X as well and that's the solution there too if you don't want to reinstall anything (on EITHER OS) and start over. "Nuke and repave" is about the only option when things get fusterclucked. One more reason why I'm glad I use KNOS myself. |

The days of operating systems being written by knowledgeable experts who knew how to write code have been taken over by a shitload of slackers that use "lego block libraries" that they have no idea of what they really do is how it's done these days. :(They just don't want to learn how to do it the hard way, old school. Shit code these days comes with "high level programming language" and pick what you want to plug into it. No knowledge of stacks, memory or anything else required. Open a GUI, draw your screens and let the compiler do all the rest. No knowledge needed. Bottom line though, transfer your stuff to the new account, delete that shit and move on to the next fustercluck. Very little consumer interest in KNOS, my shit's been working no worries since 2007. Instead of screwing with my computer, I just use it. Makes life sane. :) |

I am running Windows 7 on a Lenovo PC.I have been receiving a small window on the lower right hand corner of the desktop urging me o sign up for Windows 10 free. So I e-mailed the tech who set me up with the Lenovo and asked whether or not to sign up for Windows 10. This was his reply. Absolutely not ! I wonder why :).
