When I pulled into the parking lot at Lowe's there were probably 30 more such vehicles. Also saw a WTSP 10 van covering the "event". Some of the guys and gals came into 7-11 and were psyched up. I will look for the story to see how it turned out. |

While I certainly abhor the philosophical and political underpinnings of the Confederacy and thus the Confederate flag, let's be clear: The United States is the result of an act of treason against the government of Great Britain. Every free man in the 13 colonies was up to July 4th, 1776 a full fledged subject/citizen of the United Kingdom and had we lost all of those we consider national heroes would be hanging from town squares.I'm not trying to deliberately stir the pot. As a student of history, it's important we not engage in hypocrisy and understand that what is defined as "treason" is often shaped by the outcomes of said treason. |
