My wife can't get SS disability because she hasn't been in the work force within the last ten years although she's paid into SS since she was fourteen. She's had one knee replacement and another one due plus a hip replacement but our politicians have seen fit to make her wait another four years until she's sixty-five to collect. |

Some ppl work and still need welfare unfortunately, some folk are on welfare for short period until they find employment. Not everyone scaming the system. I have a great job and able to support my family but God forbid I lose my job like many during the recent recession I would be happy to know there is a system in place that would prevent me and my family from going hungry. And I'm glad my taxes can go to prevent others families from going hungry in similar circumstances. |
