Petraeus smuggled massive amounts of classified information out of his office to enhance his friend's career. His friend wasn't a spy, fortunately, but that is a criminal offense for a reason.Clinton's behavior, if true, is also irresponsible and very much contrary to government policy. If she put classified information into emails, she's probably toast. Otherwise, it's harmful but less so. It hasn't hurt Sarah Palin's reputation among her base. |

"Smuggled" is a contentious term that suggests guilty knowledge and criminality. If you agree with that you think a Misdemeanor is appropriate?Of course, the President simply disseminates selective classified information by making it non-classified and giving to whomever, including by leaking and backgrounders. And before our Progressives get in a snort, I'm not particularly thinking of our current executive but of LBJ, who advanced a much deadlier and divisive war than we've seen since through this and other techniques, like outright lies. |

He knew damn well it was illegal. He probably knew his friend well enough to know the risk of her being a spy was very low, so I'm OK with it being a misdemeanor charge. It's like reckless driving. Usually you get away with it without killing anyone. |

Eric holder got a white general. Sharpton owes $4 million in back taxes and still dines at the White House. Its great to have a colorblind administration. |
