435 Voting members of the house.
6 non voting members
100 Senators

5.5% will not be there to hear Netanyahu's speech to a packed house. Do you think that they've made a strong point?

That's because those of us in NY-12 expect a lot from our representatives.

It's why were're not in Dumbfuckistan-9.

My guess is that he has declared himself a non-resident for the time being so that he isn't subject to US income tax. Then if you aren't a resident and aren't in the military, you can't legally vote, can you? We wouldn't want Charles to be one of those vote fraudsters that people here complain about so often, would we?

No, I haven't voted since the November 2008 elections.

I had no real connection to the town where I last lived, so it would be a bit strange to follow and participate in local politics there.

Wouldn't that be something if it were possible? US citizens owe US Income Tax on their worldwide income no matter where in the world they live -- so I still pay plenty of income tax to the US.

As a citizen, I know I can technically vote -- and I think I would vote as an absentee in New York because that was my last state of residence -- but I haven't really bothered to figure out the rules.

My dad still has to file every year even though he really hasn't resided here since 1979.

If your registration has expired, just re-register in your last county of residence under your last address.
This can be done online.

Then you get a ballot.

But you might at least want to vote for President and maybe Senate, House, and governor. If you are allowed to; not sure about that.
