Yep. And it's snowing again. Way to miss the point. We're laughing at y'all down there flipping out over a little snow. Ask your "friend" if they went out panic shopping when the original forecast for up here was 10-18. Betcha they shrugged that number off too.

No, that's snow that has been piled up by snow plows. Don't be an ass. I only plow my driveway for the benefit of visitors to my home (both vehicular and pedestrian) as well as for keeping the floor clean of snow when exiting my personal vehicle and coming into the house. I do not do it for any other reason, as my car can easily drive through 12+ inches of snow.

Well the wetter the snow the less you want to bite into it. Judging by the advice of others who sprays the chute with WD-40 or even silicon spray, I wonder why they don't just make the shoot interior coated with Teflon. OTOH I was pumping slush last week and it wasn't giving me any grief. I'm using an Ariens 28 deluxe.

Heh. I *love* watching that go down the tubes. Given how far south our "correspondent" was, I was pretty much expecting a base of slush below it all until it got cold. No point in trying to bite that. I learned quickly many years ago that sometimes, a plow and "ramming speed" is the only way to clear that. A good solid suspension also helps.

We had a half mile of driveway. A blower just doesn't cut it for that. Sometimes a payloader doesn't. (grin)

Yup, the first week of June 50,000 or more of us use your little town for a bathroom stop on the way to Lake George. Then it keeps on all summer long and all you can do is trash-talk about motorcycles when in reality you really wish that you had the stones and the cash to join in. Suck it up, Flintstone-suck it up.
