fiogf49gjkf0d
And probably quite a few. The GOOD news is that some states have actual regulations and enforce them, others turn away sick patients as happened in Texas. Here in New York, they doctor is being treated as soon as symptoms appeared, and they're tracking down all other possibilities.

Again, Ebola is not all that contagious as compared to OTHER communicable diseases, which is all bingbong and I ever tried to point out. If it was airborne, it'd be a pandemic here. It won't. But some of our resident genii here fail to grasp that concept and are doing what their instant news (yeah, CNN too as well as MSLSD) are trying to peddle to get them sitting in front of the idiot box to Pavlov over.

And shame on the GOP for trying to sell this as a political issue. That last voter might have Ebola and you're gonna die because you picked up that pencil to vote. Wanna be safe? Stay home and lock yourself up for the next three weeks and you'll live. :)

fiogf49gjkf0d
Sure! Doctors who go to Liberia to help the sick without expecting compensation should be banned from returning to the US. That'll teach those charitable liberals who expect the government to let them give free handouts entirely of their own volition!

At least it'll keep the country safe from isolated cases of people who caught ebola abroad being treated in US hospitals without infecting anyone else, because someone shrunk the entire planet to the point that quantum mechanics now apply on the (apparently) macro scale, meaning that it's not possible to travel a distance shorter than West Africa to America and then change for a US-bound flight.

In fact, that's actually a good political move. Banning flights to the US from Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone would help calm the pointless panic and it wouldn't cause any economic harm because there are no such flights anyway.

Glad you did! Maybe with this whole Ebola panic and so many republicans pissing themselves and unlikely to vote on the high holy day left behind, they might want to see about allowing early voting to return. :)

I'm being facetious as always, but this whole rerun of the DHS color "shit yourself chart" among the low-information types gives me giggles. I'll be voting on election day, just don't know who I'm voting for yet, definitely not Prince Andrew for either of us, but not Asteroid either.

Actually, in my country the New Democratic Party wants to encourage immigration from ebola-stricken parts of Africa.

Of course, no one told them that ebola isn't very contagious. The New Democratic Party is extremely anti-human and they were hoping a few immigrants could set off a massive epidemic of ebola to kill all the humans or drive them away in fear.

They're trying to claim they knew all along that ebola wasn't contagious and this was just about helping people in those countries but everyone can see right through that. Next May, they'll probably lose half their seats.

And gee whiz ... are your knees knocking or something? Weren't you raised Catholic? One never knows where or when, but NOBODY gets off this planet alive. Live each day as though it's your last. Then you won't regret when a piano falls on you, or you get Ebola.

If you REALLY think about it, which one is more agonizing or prolonged? Cancer? Or Ebola? Live your life. Screw the bedwetters.

Its really not quite that simple. His GF is now at risk and so are 2 other friends although likely not as "at risk". Their contacts are also at risk, too. People on the subway who came in contact with him may be at risk since neither you nor Selkirk can guarantee exactly when he became contagious. The solution was to put anyone with a visa stamp from western Africa under a mandatory 21 day quarantine. If they are symptom free after 21 days - they go on to enjoy the rest of their life. BUT that would not be politically correct - public health be damned. Instead we end up with contact tracing nightmares and the images of police who went into this Dr's apartment, removing and discarding their hazmat suits in the street.
