That's because the RW is consistently working to keep the cost of labor low, claiming that raising wages is somehow inflationary. If ya ask me, I think it's because they think higher wages will erode their profits somehow, as if a well paid workforce will somehow be less productive or something. |

Yes, but you're assuming the 1% care specifically about their own net worth in terms of numbers.It seems increasingly the case that the 1% care about their relative net worth in terms of practicality— having $10 billion is not meaningfully different from having $5 billion, but being a billionaire as opposed to an impoverished serf is distinctly better than being a billionaire as opposed to a comfortably middle class employee. |
