Yes, but you're assuming the 1% care specifically about their own net worth in terms of numbers.It seems increasingly the case that the 1% care about their relative net worth in terms of practicality— having $10 billion is not meaningfully different from having $5 billion, but being a billionaire as opposed to an impoverished serf is distinctly better than being a billionaire as opposed to a comfortably middle class employee. |
