Nonetheless, I respect Dave from the Metroplex for calling it as he sees it and he can rest easy knowing his position on the LOA is secure despite his being wrong a lot of the time on a lot of issues to include stuff like theater, anthroscopic global warming or something like that, catenary wire, academic underwriting, and 501(c)(3) organizations. |

There's still plenty of decent spots in Orange ... even New Windsor and places just outside of Newburgh. Wallkill (if you don't mind living near a prison) and many other spots. OK ... Middletown, Newburgh and a few other spots have seen better days, but still ... not a bad place to transition from "city life" to something saner. :) |

I set the trip point at north of Saugerties rather than Kingston since there's still quite a few city folks around Kingston. But yeah, north of the MTA influence is a bit too quiet for folks used to the city. And you can still get the city stations as far north as Kingston with a decent antenna (and the cables carry them too) ...Once north of there though, no city influence at all. Makes city people crazy when they can't see Greg Mocker any more, no matter HOW much you're willing to pay. :) |
