Congrats on moving "upstate" although I'd caution that those of us who live "really upstate" consider the general Newburgh area to still be part of "downstate." Still, congrats. When I left the Bronx, my own first stop was in Plattekill, which is further up Rt 32 near the Ulster county boundary. It's an interesting place, you'll find the general decay of Newburgh to be "quaint" and will remind you of parts of Brooklyn.Once you've assimilated to the area where you will suddenly find yourself labelled as a "librul" you're welcome to move to the REAL upstate in hopefully just a few years where you'll be welcomed with open arms and handed your free upstate rifle to have and to hold. Congrats and WELCOME to upstate Noo Yawk! :)  |
