You're taking figurative language literally. All I said in my post was that it's a small amount of troublemakers that soil the larger group. I think you had trouble with the OWS comparison so I'll explain. When the OWS protests were going on, the larger group was tarred with the actions of a smaller group of troublemakers and if same logic is applied here then all who participated in yesterday's parade are tarred with the bad actions of a smaller group of criminals.I'm not insulted by your comparison with Selkirk but flattered actually, so thanks :) your pal, Fred |
