Blacks are less likely to marry, have a shorter life expectancy and I'm not certain but I suspect from these numbers that they are less likely to serve in the Armed Forces.I am pretty sure that blacks are more than proportionately represented in the Armed Forces. I haven't researched it but I think I've read it here or there. In addition, the Armed Forces attract those who are economically disadvantaged - which tends to result in a disproportionate number of blacks and southern rural whites. |
