Whites are a greater proportion of the population. Obviously they'd receive more in government benefits.Notice, however that blacks are more likely to receive most of the benefits on that list except for social security retirement, Medicare, veterans benefits and widow's benefits. Blacks are less likely to marry, have a shorter life expectancy and I'm not certain but I suspect from these numbers that they are less likely to serve in the Armed Forces. This is just like your [technically correct] claim that whites are more violent than "people of color." |
