He wasn't as socialistic as the socialists try to make out. The man didn't check his own brains at ideology's door all that much if people still call him an English traditionalist. (Maybe they get the wrong impression of the man from a passport photo where he was sporting a toothbrush mustache?) WWII really resulted in his disappointments in leftism. |
