How does coming out in favor of same-sex marriage garner him votes. he has everything to lose by making this an issue.He said that he personally supports gay marriage, but supports states that decide otherwise. He has it both ways as he's pro-gay and pro-states rights. Notice that he's not advocating doing anything at the federal level for gays. I know that he ended DADT, but that was strategical as well. and he has kept every single promise whenever he had the power. Not even close. And his biggest success - healthcare - came almost despite him. He refused to lobby for it when it looked like it would fail. |
