I was lucky enough to see Endeavor land at Edwards way back in 1994. (I can't believe how long ago that is already!) Anyway, the thing just falls out of the sky when it lands. "Flying" is an exaggeration. It maneuvers, but the rate of descent is astonishing compared to a plane. |
