During the conversation on the phone with his girlfriend, Trayvon Martin established his feelings of threat WRT Zimmerman. Mr Martin had the right to be in the development. Zimmerman was running a personal errand at the time. He was NOT on a scheduled patrol. (how many times do these facts need to be repeated to sink in?) Zimmerman left his truck to confront Trayvon Martin (legally had no right to be there, being neither a resident of the development nor on scheduled neighborhood watch patrol) . At that point, he lost the claim to standing his ground. He was now on Trayvon Martin's. And menacing him.IMO these were the proper charges under Florida law. |
