Out here, E911 operators are employees of the sheriff's department. They're fully trained and have books full of procedures. In non-emergency medical situations such as childbirth or trying to stabilize a patient before the meat wagon rolls, they often dispense medical advice and often close the case over the phone.When dispatch anywhere tells you that "we don't want you to do that" and you continue to do that, you're getting cuffed also. "Failure to follow lawful instruction." Cali may be different tho' ... |
