I think the majority of Hispanics (not from Latin America) are as "white" as Italians or Spaniards or, for that matter, Jews.That depends. Most "Hispanics" from Mexico are Mestizo (White/Native American). Those from Puerto Rico are (what I call) "Mulattomest" (mostly White/Black/some Taino Native). Those from the Dominican Republic are like Puerto Ricans but more Black and less of the other two. Those from Cuba as mostly White (Spaniard). Those from Central America are mostly Native, with some White. Those from points south of Brazil are mostly White. Since the overwhelming majority of American "Hispanics" are Mexican, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Cuban, in that order, there you go. |
