I have worked in a few service jobs, and in general, men tip better than women in my experience, at least at places I worked. Aside from food service, I also worked as a teenager delivering flowers for a florist, and you were always guaranteed a good tip if the husband or a guy answered. They would almost look guilty, not care what the flowers were about, and would rumage for a tip. Women would get all excited they were getting the flowers, and usually just forget and close the door.The same was generally true for food service too though, men usually tipped better than women. |
