"Speaking of which, why is diesel now more expensive than high-test gasoline? That stuff's cheaper to produce than regular gas, and indeed used to be way cheaper per gallon than regular gas. (What is is, that "low-sulfur" excuse now . . . ?)"Some fuel taxes are based on the BTU content of the fuel. Since #2Diesel has more BTU/gal than gasoline, the tax per gallon is higher. |
