I'd rather have someone working rather than collecting public assistance. How do you know what the rate of claims is? I'd bet it's fairly steep, seeing as how this issue has caught the attention of enough legislators to produce a law. It requires a broad base of legislative support to get this far. Beds that are made with flat sheets need to be remade daily. This requires repeated lifting ( approx 12 times) of the mattress. Multiply that by 20,30, or more if they are doing a double shift on a job that pats t=for shit yet they have to make ends meet. Not to forget that the government isn't telling you what sheets you must use. It is a mandate to employers alone. In California alone. |
