I'm sure the hardest part of the delay was clearing satellite time for the stragglers. Haven't done White House since the 90's myself, but plugging in everybody and making sure they have sound is a bitch. Same to clear the sat feeds and make sure everybody's on headset. There's a lot more to it than it looks even if there's video or even room audio doesn't mean that everything's up. When events are done from that room, setup is usually completed at least 8 hours ahead of airtime.There was certainly no advantage in missing the 11PM deadline on the east coast if that helps any ... |
