Your assumption is based on two fallacies. First, that "global warming" is a man-made condition and can therefore be controlled. If anything, the last ice age and it's end should tell us that this is not true. Warming and cooling are cyclic. I only have to go back to 1976 when our then, liberal president, Jimmy Earl Carter was screaming about global cooling. By the way - do you remember that Carter was our last very liberal president until present and do you remember gasoline shortages - long lines - odd and even days? Do you think that this is just a coincidence?Your second error is that gas prices don't stop at cars. Look at what is happening to the rest of the economy. Food and domestic goods cost more due to transportation costs. Energy costs will soon spiral up too. Can the double dip be far behind? I only have to go back again to the Carter days when we had double digit inflation and double digit interest rates. Liberal president - liberal president. Do you think this is simply a coincidence or do you believe that the moon and the stars are aligned against obama. Maybe the liberal agenda just doesn't work. |
