From what I've seen on the internet the global warming crowd wants gas prices high to force people out of their cars. Of course only working ad middle class people will be significantly effected, but that's secondary to having people do what they consider would be the right thing. In fact people want the government to make prices higher by taxes even if they aren't rising on their own. |
