Not really, because we haven't had a President who has not had two naturalized citizen parents in a LONG time. Obama's father was a student and a citizen of Kenya (something the short form certificate never mentions, go here to see the short form he released years ago and the one he released this morning).Again, the question of Obama's eligibility for the the presidency was never much in doubt. Most on the right accepted that he was eligible. They took issue as to why Obama allowed the controversy to simmer when he had the power to END it years ago. THAT is the issue. It's pointless to argue over something most of us always agreed upon: Obama was eligible to be POTUS. |
