Well, I saw progress during my years, but not fast enough for me. Upper management chages, and so does the direction of turning. The Kiepper years were the worst ones I worked through. What does it benefit the organization to send middle managers to a TQM course, when their superiors don't buy into it? Shovelling stuff against the tide, as a midnight switchman at 179 used to say, only he was more earthy in his use of language. |
